At 18|8 Brookhaven, our mission is to help you look and perform at your best every single day of the year – but beyond just making you look great, we’re committed to improving your life as a whole. That’s why we’re proud to announce that we’ve partnered with Eyes On Cancer to train all our stylists and have them certified in recognizing early-stage skin cancer. So when you come to 18|8, we’re not just looking out for your style – we’re looking out for your life.

What is Eyes On Cancer?

Eyes On Cancer is a nonprofit organization with a simple, smart mission: advance the prevention and early detection of cancer through education in the beauty industry. Beauty and style professionals are already focused on perfecting your appearance, so it’s a natural extension for them to look out for signs of early-stage skin cancer. Eyes On Cancer makes this connection by training beauty and personal care professionals to recognize the early stages of skin cancer, helping to increase early detection of skin cancer, which is critically important for survival rates.

We think this is an incredible and important mission, so we’ve trained all of our expert stylists with Eyes On Cancer, giving them the knowledge to spot melanoma and other skin cancers in their earliest stages. When you come to 18|8, you can be sure that you’re not just getting the best haircut around – you’re also protecting your safety.
